The initiative recognizes CSOs as vital partners in promoting good governance, accountability, and community empowerment. Through KAAGAPAY CSO Aurora, local CSOs will be equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and networks to actively contribute to policy-making, program implementation, and public service delivery.
1. Strengthen CSO Participation – Institutionalize the participation of CSOs in local governance, ensuring their active involvement in planning, policy formulation, and monitoring.
2. Capacity Development – Provide training and technical assistance to CSOs to enhance their organizational management, advocacy skills, and policy engagement capabilities.
3. Multi-Sectoral Collaboration – Establish a strong partnership between CSOs, local government units (LGUs), and other stakeholders to foster inclusive development.
4. Transparency and Accountability – Promote open dialogue and information-sharing mechanisms to strengthen the role of CSOs as watchdogs of governance.
5. Community-Driven Development – Encourage grassroots initiatives that align with local and national development priorities.
Baler, Aurora – The Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force, chaired by PD Ener P. Cambronero, DILG-Aurora, conducted the 2025 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CLFGA) on-site validation on January 20-31, 2025, on the eight (8) component municipalities in the Province of Aurora.
The PIMTF Representatives and on-site validation team was composed of the DILG Aurora Provincial Office and the Provincial CDW President (CSO), other organizations and national government agencies.
In a continued effort to ensure the quality, timeliness, and compliance of infrastructure projects, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Aurora Provincial Project Monitoring Team (PPMT), together with the Local Government Unit Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC), conducted another progress inspection of an ongoing road project currently facing implementation delays.
The monthly inspection was led by LGOO VI Mary Joyce T. Bautista, joined by Engr. III Rosanna C. Hernandez and Engr. II Kenny Jean N. Iniwan, along with LGU functionaries and representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
The council members composed of different department heads, component LGUs, National Government Agencies, and Civil Society Organization (CSOs), were commended for their combined efforts against criminality, illegal drugs, and insurgency, and in the maintenance of peace and order and public safety throughout the province.
Towards the end of the meeting, two resolutions were approved: one adopting the implementation of the PACE program in line with the province’s declaration of stable internal peace and security, and another approving the POPS Plan for FY 2026-2028.
