As the official LGRC brand, 𝙏𝘼𝙈𝘽𝙐𝙇𝙄 shall be the symbol and communication instrument on how the DILG, in its role as the primary catalyst for excellence in local governance, shall integrate knowledge management in DILG processes and systems towards building the Department as a Knowledge Centric Organization that provides only the B.E.S.T.
WHY TAMBULI?
In prehispanic Philippines, the “TAMBULI”, which was an indigenous tool made out of carabao horn, was used as an instrument for the natives to come and attend meetings called for by their elders, listen to announcements from their chieftains, or take part in decision-making for the safety and wellbeing of the tribe.
It was an instrument used to summon villagers to the elders’ meeting or to warn the community of imminent danger like fire or pirates. For entertainment purposes, it was widely used as a musical instrument.
Tambuli shall be the symbol of how the DILG in its role as the primary catalyst for excellence in local governance, shall integrate knowledge management in DILG processes and systems towards building the Department as a Knowledge Centric Organization.
It shall serve as the INSTRUMENT that will connect the DILG to its stakeholders.
TAMBULI WILL SERVE AS THE COMMUNICATION MEDIUM FOR DILG AURORA TO ACHIEVE ITS GOALS OF BEING A KNOWLEDGE-CENTRIC HUB THAT PROVIDES ONLY THE B.E.S.T.
TAMBULI AS THE OFFICIAL BRAND OF THE DILG AURORA LGRC
Dynamic, proactive and interactive platform for convergence of DILG and various LGU stakeholders.
Through CONVERGENCE AND MULTI-STAKEHOLDERSHIP, the sub-LGRRC will be able to consolidate information and facilitate linkages to DILG and partners' services and resources targeted to LGUs such as the promotion and replication of exemplary practices, provision of access to and use of the Local Governance Performance Management System; and provision of support to the formulation and implementation of local development plans.
The horn depicts the promotion of a culture of learning & knowledge sharing in the area of governance.
The sound of the Tambuli is a meaningful representation of programs that influence the DILG's connection with our stakeholders. Even during this age of technology, the basic purpose of this instrument will continue to linger, reform and transform our delivery of excellent services.
