AKKAW stands for Advancing Knowledge SKills and Attitude at the Workplace. This program provides capacity development interventions to Provincial and Field Officers/personnel to increase productivity and improve its quality performance. In addition, the program’s title was derived from the term AKKAW /ak-káw/ which is an expression used by the people of Aurora province in multiple ways. More frequently, it is used to exclaim amazement or wonder. The DILG-AKKAW will also motivate the employees to strive for excellence through undergoing training. Moreover, strengthened internal governance capacity translates into the competency framework adopted by the Department to build the capacities of its people. This program will be for both the LGOOs and Non-LGOOs and will cover the 3 types of competencies namely: Core Competency; Leadership Competency; and Functional Competency.

Following the successful coverage and airing of Usapang DILG: Gabay para sa Pamamahalang Lokal, Ikaw at Ako Maka-Lokal Tayo, the Write Right: Precision in Prose initiated a workshop activity on Radio-TV Segment Production in partnership with, RTV Baler 92.1 on January 13, 2024 at DILG Aurora Provincial Office.
Mr. Rommel G. Espinosa, Station Manager of RTV Baler 92.1, presented the crucial role of segment production in both radio and television production and its execution within larger program.

SALIGAN (Sandigan ng mga Lingkod-Barangay na Gumaganap para sa Agarang hustisya at kapayapaan Ng Mamamayan): A Katarungang Pambarangay refresher for Municipal Local Government Operations Officers. With Atty. Patrick Alexis Angara as the resource person, the fourth instalment of the said program, focused on Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) or the Barangay Justice System. The discussion focused on refresher on Lupong Tagapamayapa, Roles and Responsibilities of Lupon, cases under the KP, and its process.
The refresher course provided the Aurora Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs), a levelling of knowledge and uniform understanding on the processes and procedures of the barangay justice system for the effective and efficient provision of legal advice to the DILG Aurora clientele.
Fact-Finding Capacity Building for DILG Aurora

After the successful launching of the first episode of AKKAW, DILG Aurora through its LGRRC Tambuli continued its goal to strengthen the DILG Aurora's internal organizational capacity by premiering the second episode of AKKAW: Fact Finding Report Writing today, May 19, 2023 via Hybrid Learning Setup.
Atty. Chairmaine Jacqueline I. Paulino, Regional Legal Officer, DILG R3, served as the resource person for the half day capacity development activity. The online training provided DILG officers including the non-LGOO personnel further technical know-how and comprehensive knowledge on the process of writing fact-finding reports.

The DILG Aurora conducted the specialized training under the Functional Competency on Effective Communication specifically on Technical Writing. With LG MED Assistant Division Chief, LGOO VI Aldwin B. Reyes as the resource person, the training successfully provided the LGOOs and Non-LGOOs along with the MLGOO staffs, the technical/professional information and skillful process to be able to utilize their oral and written forms of communication for the appropriate target audience.
